Topping proceedings was lot 47, a colt by champion sire Silvano (Ger) from the Klawervlei Stud consignment, who went for R700,000 (£40,633/€47,009/US$57,915) on the bid of Vaughan Marshall. Out of the listed winner Sting Operation (SAf) (Captain Al {SAf}), his second dam is MG1SW Roxanne (SAf) (Western Winter). The 208 yearlings grossed R20,335,000 (£1,181,038/€1,366,204/US$1,683,634).
