Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted March 30, 2023 Journalists Share Posted March 30, 2023 What Clare Lindop Stakes Day 2023 Where Morphettville Racecourse – 79 Morphett Rd, Morphettville SA 5043 When Saturday, April 1, 2023 First Race 11:32am ACDT Visit Ladbrokes Racing returns to the course proper at Morphettville on Saturday afternoon for Clare Lindop Stakes Day, also featuring the Listed Manihi Classic. We kick off the meeting on a Good 4, while the rail comes out 5m the entire circuit. The action from Morphettville gets underway at 12:02pm ACDT. Clare Lindop Stakes Top Tip: Zennzella Despite being a touch disappointing first-up in the Group 3 Vanity, we anticipate the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained Zennzella will bounce back in Saturday’s Clare Lindop Stakes. The three-year-old filly was a smart winner over 2000m in the Wakeful Stakes during the spring, so the step up to the mile will be no issue for this girl. If anything, it may be a touch sharp, but with stablemate Zoe’s Promise engaged, the race is sure to be run at a genuine tempo which should help those looking to get our over further. Zennzella brings an element of class to the Listed event and if Jake Noonan can have her in clear air on the home, she is going to take some holding out. Clare Lindop Stakes Race 9 – #2 Zennzella (8) 3yo Filly | T: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace | J: Jake Noonan (59kg) $12 with Ladbrokes Manihi Classic Top Tip: All About Eve Opening the quaddie at Morphettville on Saturday is the Listed Manihi Classic for sprinters looking to build towards the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes. Despite a below par end to her spring campaign, we’re hoping the Andrew Noblet-trained All About Eve can strike at a price first-up from a spell. The four-year-old mare showed her above average ability in two smart wins at Ballarat at the start of her spring campaign, before getting too far back in her races at Flemington and then Sandown. She does need to overcome the tricky draw of barrier one, but with the likes of Philonize set to make this 1100m sprint run at a breakneck tempo, she should have plenty of room to edge off the rails in a strung-out field. All About Eve has a dynamic turn of foot at her best and if she brings that, then she is sure to take some beating. Manihi Classic Race 7 – #7 All About Eve (1) 4yo Mare | T: Andrew Noblet | J: Will Price (59kg) $18 with Betfair Best Bet at Morphettville: Tapinforpar Tapinforpar was a dominant winner on the Parks track at Morphettville on March 25 and on the quick seven-day backup looks a clear best bet of the day on a tricky card. The three-year-old gelding managed to land in the one-one upon settling and gained the gun run in transit and capitalised in impressive fashion. The Spieth gelding managed to put three-lengths on his rivals on that day and having drawn to gain a similar run in transit on Saturday, there looks to be no excuses. Lachie Neindorf sticks on board with 1.5kg claim which is an added bonus and with just 57kg on his back, Tapinforpar should prove too good for his rivals once again. Best Bet Race 2 – #4 Tapinforpar (8) 3yo Gelding | T: Gordon Richards & Damien Moyle | J: Lachie Neindorf (a1.5) (58.5kg) $3.60 with Unibet Next Best at Morphettville: Joseylin The Ben & JD Hayes-trained Joseylin has been racing in fine form in recent times, without finding the winner’s circle. However, we expect that trend to change on Saturday when she steps out over the 1050m. The four-year-old mare has placed in tougher races than this at Moonee Valley and Sandown over her last three runs and has been doing so when settling close to the speed. From barrier five on Saturday, look for Ben Price to land this Pride of Dubai mare in the one-one and armed with a strong turn of foot, Joseylin might just pinch a gap on her rivals that will prove too hard to bridge. Next Best Race 3 – #5 Joseylin (5) 4yo Mare | T: Ben & JD Hayes | J: Ben Price (a1.5) (58.5kg) $4.40 with Neds Best Value at Morphettville: Siyata Since winning first-up at Murray Bridge three starts ago when fresh, the Will Clarken & Nikki O’Shea-trained Siyata looks to have struck a race to regain her form. The five-year-old mare was a winner over 1481m earlier in her career in the United Kingdom and we are hopeful she was relish stepping up to the 1200m this time around. She has left herself with too much to do in the home straight in recent times, but if Todd Pannell can settle her midfield with cover from barrier nine, Siyata certainly has what it takes to cause a boil over and salute at a big price with online bookmakers. Best Value Race 4 – #7 Siyata (9) 5yo Mare | T: Will Clarken & Nikki O’Shea | J: Todd Pannell (57kg) $13 with Palmerbet Saturday quaddie tips for Morphettville Morphettville quadrella selections Saturday, April 1, 2023 1-4-8 3-10 1-2-3-8 Field Investment: $384 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
