Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of greyhounds to follow from around Victoria. You may even want to add them to your Blackbook account.

GUY FOX ROSE (Box 2)
Breeding: Aug ’21 Bernardo x Macy Lee
Trainer: Jeff Chignell (Rosedale)
Record: 1 start 1-0-0

Dale says: Guy Fox Rose could have not been more impressive on debut with an emphatic victory in 22.43 seconds at Warragul over 400m.

He posted an elite first sectional (8.23 seconds) along the way in an exhibition of sustained speed.

Guy Fox Rose is engaged to run again at Warragul on Tuesday over 400m and if track conditions are favourable, he could get under the 22.30 seconds barrier.

The son of boom sire Bernardo looks set for a big career.

Best traits: Sustained speed
Ideal draw: Box 1
Ideal distance: 460 metres

HUMMOCK (Box 2)
Breeding: Mar ’20 My Redeemer x Invictus Glory
Trainer: Clint Capuano (Anakie)
Record: 33 starts 13-3-4

Dale says: Hummock was knocking on the door of becoming one of the best middle-distance performers in the state last preparation before injury struck.

That door is still left open following two runs back from a spell with a top 450m placing backed up by a smart win in 30.11 seconds at The Meadows over 525 metres.

Hummock appears to be on the right path again for another assault at becoming an elite middle distance performer.

Best traits: Tenacious chaser, elite mid-race speed
Ideal draw: Box 1
Ideal distance: 600 metres

AL’S ENTITY (Box 7)
Breeding: Apr ’21 Collision x Zara’s Entity
Trainer: Paul Abela (Parwan)
Record: 7 starts 2-2-2

Dale says: Al’s Entity burst onto the racing scene winning the Group 3 GRV Vicbred Maiden Final in just his third race in brilliant fashion.

He reminds me a lot of his half-brother Zac’s Entity in the way he races and boasts a similar powerful finishing burst.

Still learning, Al’s Entity has the versatility to become either a top-shelf sprinter or middle-distance performer for quite some time.

Best traits: Elite run home sectionals
Ideal draw: Box 1
Ideal distance: 600 metres
