Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 7, 2023 Journalists Share Posted April 7, 2023 What Warwick Farm Races Where Warwick Farm Racecourse – Governor Macquarie Dr, Warwick Farm NSW 2170 When Monday, April 10, 2023 First Race 12:45pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Public Holiday racing heads to Warwick Farm Racecourse on Monday afternoon where a competitive eight-race program is scheduled. With persistent rain expected across Sydney over the weekend, we expect to be racing on a track in the Heavy range, despite it being rated a Soft 6 in the leadup. The rail sticks to the true position throughout, for the meeting commencing at 12:45pm AEST. Best Bet at Warwick Farm: Deniliquin We will be looking to make our presence known early on the card when he John Thompson-trained Deniliquin looks to bring up a third straight win. The five-year-old gelding got the job done over 2200m on a Heavy 8 at this track on March 29 and the start prior arrived in time to snare a win at Hawkesbury over 2000m. He is rock hard fit coming into this fifth-up from a spell and brings an element of race fitness and winning form compared to his rival. The five-year-old son of Adelaide will relish any rain that may come, with all five of his career wins coming on rain-affected going. He draws to gain a perfect run in transit from barrier four under Brenton Avdulla and with even luck at the right time, we expect Deniliquin to be the superior stayer over 2400m. Best Bet Race 3 – #1 Deniliquin (4) 5yo Gelding | T: John Thompson | J: Brenton Avdulla (59kg) $6.50 with Bet365 Next Best at Warwick Farm: The King One of our nice plays on the card comes up in the opening event when the Peter & Paul Snowden-trained The King looks to go one better than his runner-up effort on debut. The two-year-old colt chased home subsequent Group 3 winner Libertad on that day at Randwick on the Kensington track, suggesting he is certainly one to follow. The Russian Revolution colt settled toward the rear of the field on that day and made up plenty of ground in the home straight. Safe to say if he runs up to his effort on debut on Monday, Brett Prebble will have this bloke presented at the right time and we anticipate The King will reign supreme on Easter Monday. Next Best Race 1 – #11 The King (8) 2yo Colt | T: Peter & Paul Snowden | J: Brett Prebble (56kg) $3 with Neds Best Value at Warwick Farm: Washington Towers Todd Smart brings his speedy six-year-old gelding Washington Towers to the Warwick Farm 1100m and despite drawing barrier 16, we are expecting he will run his rivals ragged. The son of Whittington is one horse who will appreciate any more rain that will come having won six of 16 starts when able to get his toe into the ground. If Billy Owen can have this bloke one off the rail, preferably outside lead, expect Washington Towers’ speed to prove beneficial in these conditions and with a bit of luck can cause an upset in the second leg of the quaddie. Best Value Race 6 – #7 Washington Towers (10) 6yo Gelding | T: Todd Smart | J: Billy Owen (60kg) $18 with Ladbrokes Monday quaddie tips for Warwick Farm Warwick Farm quadrella selections Monday, April 10, 2023 2-5-12-14 3-7-12 1-2-3-4-13 3-4-6-12-20 Investment: $300 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
