Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 13, 2023 Journalists Share Posted April 13, 2023 What Cranbourne Races Where Cranbourne Turf Club – 50 Grant St, Cranbourne VIC 3977 When Friday, April 14, 2023 First Race 5:45pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Racing returns to the Cranbourne Turf Club for the first time in two weeks with a competitive eight-race program set down for decision. Following plenty of rain in Melbourne’s south-east over the past week, we’re set to be racing on a Soft 7. The rail comes out 3m the entire circuit and racing commences at 5:45pm AEST. Best Bet at Cranbourne: Keitany The Luke Oliver-trained Keitany did enough upon resumption from a spell to suggest she would be hard to beat wherever she went next time out. She stays at the Cranbourne 1000m, and with a bit of luck she can see more daylight at the right time compared to what she copped on March 31 when held up for a run until it was too late. She draws barrier two, so Craig Newitt will need to have her off the rail approaching the home turn, and if he can do just that, Keitany’s sharp turn of foot should prove too much for this maiden field. Best Bet Race 3 – #5 Keitany (1) 3yo Filly | T: Luke Oliver | J: Craig Newitt (57kg) $3.70 with Neds Next Best at Cranbourne: Choquant The Mick Kent-trained Choquant returns from a 10-week freshen-up and brings easily the best exposed form into this race. He draws barrier one under the in-form Billy Egan, who should aim to take luck out of the equation and have this bloke bounding along out in front. There is no doubt Choquant has had more than enough chances to salute as favourite, but he looks so well placed on Friday night that he should simply lead throughout. Next Best Race 7 – #1 Choquant (1) 4yo Gelding | T: Mick Kent | J: Billy Egan (60kg) $2.80 with Unibet Next Best Again at Cranbourne: Precast Precast ran a massive race first-up from nearly 12 months on the sidelines when running Free Willed to within a length at the Cranbourne 1000m on March 31. The four-year-old mare returns to the same track and trip on Friday night and draws to gain a beautiful run in transit, potentially in the one-one under Daniel Stackhouse. With race fitness under her belt and natural improvement expected, Precast should give us a nice run for our money at a nice price with online betting sites. Next Best Again Race 2 – #5 Precast (6) 4yo Mare | T: Michael Huglin | J: Daniel Stackhouse (57kg) $4.50 with Unibet Friday quaddie tips for Cranbourne races Cranbourne quadrella selections Friday, April 14, 2023 2-3-4 2-3-8 2-5 1-5-7-9 Investment: $72 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
