Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 12, 2023 Journalists Share Posted April 12, 2023 Race 3 THE TRUST MAIDEN 1400mRUBY SUNRISE (T Moseley) – Stable Foreman Mr. R Mildon advised Stewards, that on Thursday 6 April, RUBY SUNRISE underwent a veterinary examination including blood test which revealed the mare to be showing low levels of tying-up. R Mildon further advised it is the stables intention to carry on with the mare’s current preparation and may look to nominate RUBY SUNRISE for the Canterbury JC meeting on Saturday 22 April. Race 8 MOUNT SOMERS HONEY 1200mSURCHARGE (K Chowdhoory) – Trainer Ms. T Rae reported to Stewards, she was satisfied with the post-race condition of gelding, and it is her intention to continue on with SURCHARGE’S current preparation. LA RAPIDE (B Murray) – Trainer Mr. J Bullard advised Stewards, that in the days after racing at Ashburton, the mare developed a burst abscess to the off-front foot which has now subsided. J Bullard further advised it is his intention to carry on with LA RAPIDE’S preparation, where he may look to nominate the mare for the Canterbury JC meeting on Saturday 22 April.
