GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  Fellas, the feature greyhound racing does not stop and we have seven great heats of the Group 2 Sportsbet Geelong Gold Cup on Friday night, which are Races 3 to 9.

Gerard  Quilts, Titan Blazer finally secured Group success in the Mount Gambier Cup last start. He faces tough competition in the first heat including Kai Bale, Amron Dan and Adhana Rico.

Trent  Will Kelsey Bale have to re-produce her Ballarat Cup heroics in the second heat? Group 2 winner Stout Monelli is in top form and Crackerjack Boom was explosive at The Meadows last Saturday night.

Quilts  You’re stealing my type of jokes, Trent. Storm Stroller – a finalist last year – headlines the third heat, but Group finalists Boston Garden, Indy Fido and Dundee Rebel cannot be taken lightly.

Trent  The fourth heat is a ripper with Group winners Stealth, Hill Top Jack and Mepunga Warrior, and he is arguably in the best form of his career after winning the Easter Gift last Thursday night.

Gerard  Correy Grenfell advised me that Rhino Bale is the most exciting dog in the Grenfell kennel and he is in the fifth heat with Ballarat Cup finalists Bobby Axelrod and Salad Dodger.

Quilts  Group 1 Australian Cup finalist Captain Larry is the headliner in the sixth heat and he faces Blue Demon and Magic Muffin; young chasers from the Group 3 Launching Pad series.

Gerard  The gifted Rejuvenate was too classy for Aston Tango in their Ballarat Cup Night Match Race and they will clash in the seventh heat. Watch out for Make No Promise also.

Trent  While the Sportsbet Geelong Gold Cup heats are taking place, Wow She’s Fast and Fernando Mick will represent Victoria in the inaugural edition of The Sandgroper at Cannington.

Gerard  WA trainer Steve Withers is looking after Wow She’s Fast with Jackie and Kel Greenough on holidays and he is delighted with the dual Phoenix champion compared to when she was scratched from the Perth Cup heats.
