Oscar Performance (c, 4, Kitten’s Joy–Devine Actress, by Theatrical {Ire}), pulled up and vanned off as the 9-5 favorite in the GI Arlington Million Aug. 11, got back on track in a big way with a front-running victory in Saturday’s GI Ricoh Woodbine Mile, a ‘Win and You’re In’ for the GI Breeders’ Cup Mile.

The bay, off at odds of 5-2, led through fractions of :24.60 and :48.78, and had plenty left in the stretch, drawing away late to win by 1 1/2 lengths.

Mr Havercamp (Court Vision) was second; Stormy Antarctic (GB) (Stormy Atlantic) was third.

The final time was 1:33.12.

Oscar Performance, set to stand his first season at stud at Mill Ridge in 2019, also owns victories in the 2016 GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf and 2017 GI Belmont Derby Invitational S. and GI Secretariat S.

Kitten’s Joy was also represented by G1 QIPCO Irish Champion S. hero Roaring Lion earlier in the day at Leopardstown.

Lifetime Record: 14-8-0-1.
