Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 17, 2023 Journalists Share Posted April 17, 2023 What Warwick Farm Races Where Warwick Farm Racecourse – Governor Macquarie Dr, Warwick Farm NSW 2170 When Wednesday, April 19, 2023 First Race 12:50pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Metropolitan racing heads to Warwick Farm on Wednesday afternoon for a competitive eight-race program. We’ve got some nice types stepping out, and with some improving conditions expected for an already Soft 5 surface, we should be in for a perfect afternoon of racing. The rail is out +3m the entire circuit and it should be a fair track, with the first race set to get underway at 12:50pm AEST. Best Bet: Commandment We’re taking a risk in the penultimate as Commandment makes her Australian debut for Kris Lees. She enters this race with a solid 12:2-2-3 record and finished her campaign for former trainer Ed Dunlop at York on October 7. She ran into fourth position on that occasion in a massive field of 19 runners and was impressive to the line in the process. She’s now first-up off a 193-day spell but looks fit and ready to go here with three terrific barrier trials under her belt. Dylan Gibbons takes the reins and gives this daughter of Acclamation some weight relief with the 1.5kg claim, finding herself well up to this BM72 for the girls. Commandment should get an ideal run throughout from barrier two and will look the winner at some stage. Best Bet Race 7 – #1 Commandment (2) 4yo Filly | T: Kris Lees | J: Dylan Gibbons (a1.5kg) (59.5kg) Bet with Bet365 Next Best: Armed Forces Wednesday sees the highly anticipated debut of the Chris Waller-trained colt Armed Forces, and despite it being a competitive affair, he looks the one to beat in the second race. He’s had two impressive jump-outs prior to this first-up effort, and both have seen him powering to the line late in eye-catching fashion. He’s drawn awkwardly in barrier eight; however, his trials suggest this son of I Am Invincible will be getting back in the field regardless, so we’ll leave it to the ‘Magic Man’ Joao Moreira to find some cover throughout the 1200m. If he the breaks come at the right time, Armed Forces looks a very promising type and could be finding races much better than this, possibly even a trip to Queensland this winter. Next Best Race 2 – #3 Armed Forces (8) 2yo Colt | T: Chris Waller | J: Joao Moreira (56.5kg) Bet with Neds Best Value: Bunker Hut We’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of Bunker Hut. This Savabeel gelding seems to have plenty of ability and found some tough assignments last preparation, including two tries over the staying trips behind Sharp ‘N’ Smart – in the Group 3 Gloaming Stakes and Group 1 Spring Champions Stakes. It all might have been coming together too soon for Bunker Hut, who was subsequently tipped out by trainer Michael Freedman. He now returns to the races with two outstanding barrier trials to his name and looks set for a big performance to kick off the campaign. He’s another one that will be getting back from the wide draw; however, he seems to have plenty of upside in this field, and you should be getting a quality price with online bookmakers to find out. Best Value Race 6 – #5 Bunker Hut (10) 3yo Gelding | T: Michael Freedman | J: Tyler Schiller (59.5kg) Bet with Palmerbet Wednesday quaddie tips at Warwick Farm Warwick Farm quadrella selections Wednesday, April 19, 2023 1-3-5-7 5-7-12-13 1-2-7 3-5-6-8-12 Investment: $240 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
