Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 16, 2018 Journalists Share Posted September 16, 2018 Peter Brant’s Fog of War (c, 2, War Front–Say {Ire}, by Galileo {Ire}), well supported at even-money following a narrow score at Saratoga Aug. 13, sat a stalking trip and found room in the stretch, driving between rivals to earn his first taste of black-type in Sunday’s GI Summer S. at Woodbine. Wallace (Run Away and Hide) raced out to take the early lead, carving out fractions of :23.36 and :46.20 as War of Will (War Front) and Fog of War settled in behind. With seemingly more in the tank, but in need of racing room turning into the stretch, Fog of War found daylight, cut through his rivals midstretch and kept up the tempo late to score by a length over War of Will (War Front). Nashtrick (Hat trick {Jpn}) was third. Final time for the mile test was 1:33.90. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $196,750. O-Peter Brant; B-Orpendale, Chelston & Wynatt (Ky); T-Chad Brown.
