One day after his sire scored a Grade I double, including in the GI Kentucky Oaks, GENERAL JIM (c, 3, Into Mischief–Inspired by Grace, by Curlin) took his second consecutive graded event around one turn. A last-out winner of the GIII Swale S. Feb. 4, the Shug McGaughey pupil stalked in between horses early and out-gamed Fort Bragg (Tapit) in a stretch-long duel to notch a neck decision.
