Steve Paul Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Is it me or do you have to be on pace at both the NZ tracks today to have any chance at all! 3 Quote
Guest CrossCodes Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Same applies today. Nothing coming from further back than the first 4 or 5 turning for home. Matamata has become one of the most bias tracks in the country. Quote

Matamata has become one of the most bias tracks in the country. Is it bias or is it just poor riding? And didn't the first winner miss the start by a couple of lengths. The caller suggested so. Can you explain what you mean by a bias? Are you suggesting there is a fast lane a horse or two wide on the track? Edited September 26, 2018 by mardigras Quote
curious Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Ok. Just had a quick look. Seems to me that the fastest horse over the distance is winning every race as usual. If you sit back 5-10 lengths off the lead and can't run the last bit a second or two faster than the leaders, you surely can't win? That seems to me more normal than any kind of bias? Quote

That is Gold! - I have never seen the time for second or third place being faster than the winner either ? 2 2 Quote
Steve Paul Posted October 6, 2018 Author Posted October 6, 2018 Again, if you're not on speed today, you have limited chance of success. Quote
