Hawkesbury racecourse is one of five provincial licensed venues for horse racing across New South Wales and is slowly becoming a strong base for trainers, being roughly 60km west of the major Sydney racing precinct. The first comes for the sprinters at the 1000m starting point coming from a chute, before getting to the course proper, while the same can be said for the stayers. From the 1400m there’s a cut-away rail for the 1600m, 1800m and up to the 2000m markers.
