Not seen in the winner's circle since the GII Golden Rod S. at Churchill Downs last fall, Hoosier Philly (Into Mischief–Tapella, by Tapit) won impressively as the 6-5 second choice in the Monomoy Girl S. at Ellis Park on Saturday afternoon.

Breaking alertly, the gray filly shot to the lead, controlled the fractions on the engine and rounding the far turn, began to extend her margin to go on to win by 4 1/2 lengths over favorite Wet Paint (Blame) who made up ground late for second. With a final running time of 1:36.39, the victory was the third stakes win of her career.
