With all the talk focused on MGISW Matareya (Pioneerof the Nile), it was the lesser regarded SOCIETY (Gun Runner–Etiquette, by Tapit) who stole the show, taking the GIII Chicago S. in dominating fashion. Ridden to the front with good early speed under jockey Tyler Gaffalione, the Peter Blum homebred left them all in her wake, leading gate-to-wire with the favorite far back in a final time of 1:20.54. Lifetime Record: 10-6-0-1.
