Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 29, 2023 Journalists Share Posted June 29, 2023 What Rosehill Races Where Rosehill Gardens Racecourse – James Ruse Dr, Rosehill NSW 2142 When Saturday, July 1, 2023 First Race 11am AEST Visit Ladbrokes NSW racing heads to Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on Saturday for a blockbuster 10-race program. The rail is out +4m the entire circuit, and with nothing but clear skies forecast for leading into the weekend, we expect to be racing on a genuine Good 4 surface. The first race is set to get underway at 11am AEST. Best Bet: Gracilistyla Gracilistyla’s first-up performance at this course and distance in BM72 company is the ideal reference for this weekend. He met Saturday’s favourite, Resonator, on June 3 at Rosehill in a race in which you simply couldn’t make inroads from back in the field, then adding to the woes, this son of Medaglia D’oro couldn’t get clear when searching for rails runs. From barrier five, Kerrin McEvoy should find a position better than mid-field that allows Gracilistyla to show his electric turn-of-foot and secure a much-deserved victory. Best Bet Race 3 – #2 Gracilistyla (5) 4yo Gelding | T: Chris Waller | J: Kerrin McEvoy (60.5kg) $4.40 with Bet365 Next Best: Hi Dubai Hi Dubai impressed when resuming at Randwick-Kensington on June 14 and looks primed to make the step up in grade. She was beaten less than a half-length by Bubba’s Bay on that occasion, chasing home gamely but running out of time over the 1000m. Hi Dubai now receives a significant swing in the weights on that rival, courtesy of apprentice Zac Lloyd taking the reins for the first time. The extra 100m looks ideal for this progressive three-year-old, and although her breeding suggests she may be better over further later in the campaign, this looks well within her reach. Next Best Race 6 – #8 Hi Dubai (2) 3yo Filly | T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott | J: Zac Lloyd (a1.5kg) (55.5kg) $4 with Neds Best Value: Mascaret French import Mascaret got a pass mark on her Australian debut when finishing mid-field behind Vienna Princess at Rosehill on June 17. She got back in the ruck over an unsuitable trip before picking up again late in the piece to finish five lengths away. She should be a big improver second-up for the Chris Waller barn, and from barrier two, Kerrin McEvoy can be much more positive than last time out. Expect Mascaret to give each-way followers a massive sight turning for home. Best Value Race 2 – #3 Mascaret (2) 4yo Mare | T: Chris Waller | J: Kerrin McEvoy (57.5kg) $9.50 with Palmerbet Saturday quaddie tips for Rosehill races Rosehill quadrella selections Saturday, July 1, 2023 1-2-3 2-5-13 1-6-7-9-10 5-6-8-9 Investment: $180 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
