Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 29, 2023 Journalists Share Posted June 29, 2023 What Sha Tin Races Where Sha Tin Racecourse – Tai Po Rd, Sha Tin District, Hong Kong When Saturday, July 1, 2023 First Race 4pm HKT (6pm AEST) Visit Ladbrokes We’ve got Hong Kong racing lined up on Saturday afternoon as Sha Tin Racecourse is set to hold an ultra-competitive 10-race program. The rail is in the B position for race-day, and although there are some scattered showers predicted for the meeting, we don’t expect the track to downgrade from the Good 4 listed at the time of writing. The opening race is set to get underway at 4pm HKT (6pm AEST). Sha Tin Best Bet: Dream Winner Dream Winner remains undefeated since his debut on May 21 and will be looking to make it a hattrick of victories on Saturday evening. This son of Exosphere couldn’t have been more impressive in his two wins, going on to score by healthy 5.3 and 2.5-length margins, while also smashing the clock in the process. Both times Dream Winner has raced down the Sha Tin 1000m straight he’s finished sub 56 seconds and although this weekend he must carry the 60kg on his back, this lightly raced three-year-old looks more than up to the task. We’re willing to be very forgiving of his latest effort at Happy Valley on May 31 where he was beaten favourite when cast wide throughout the 1800m. Prior to that defeat he was travelling outstanding at Sha Tin when running second in the Group 3 Queen Mother Memorial Cup and that’s the form we want to take him on. He draws barrier four to gain an economical run in transit this time and with acquiring the services of leading hoop Zac Purton, we’d be shocked if Sword Point wasn’t right in this. Next Best Race 4 – #3 Sword Point (4) 4yo Gelding | T: Frankie Lor | J: Zac Purton (60kg) Bet with Neds Next Best Again: Baby Crystal Baby Crystal is inching towards his second-career win and despite being a wide-open affair, we want to follow him into the third event of the program. He raced greenly last start at Sha Tin on June 4 and sat wide throughout the journey under jockey Zac Purton who just couldn’t get the four-year-old to settle for the duration. He’s since won a barrier trial and we don’t mind the wide draw (11) that’s been afforded him on Saturday. It should give Purton the chance to make his way across the field to lead on the rail which Baby Crystal should appreciate, and if he can sprint away from his rivals at the top of the straight, he’s going to take plenty of catching. Next Best Race 3 – #1 Baby Crystal (11) 4yo Gelding | T: John Size | J: Zac Purton (61kg) Bet with Palmerbet Saturday quaddie tips for Sha Tin races Sha Tin quadrella selections Saturday, July 1, 2023 1-2-4-5-6-9 2 2-3-6-7-11 2-4-5-7-12-13 Investment: $180 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
