Given a mild 9-1 chance, the dark bay colt got caught up behind horses up the backstretch but found room to the outside of favored Normandy Hero (Omaha Beach) and came running with a head of steam past the quarter pole to take over the lead. Despite showing a bit of inexperience late, Edified hit the wire in full control with open lengths back to Liberal Arts (Arrogate) in second. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0.
