Winning the battle of the TDN Rising Stars in Saturday's G1 Coral-Eclipse at Sandown, Paddington (GB) (Siyouni {Ire}–Modern Eagle {Ger}, by Montjeu {Ire}) mastered Emily Upjohn (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) to provide Aidan O'Brien with the outright historical record of seven renewals. Heavily-supported into 8-11 favouritism, the G1 Irish 2000 Guineas and G1 St James's Palace S. hero was positioned behind the leader West Wind Blows (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) by Ryan Moore with the Gosdens' G1 Coronation Cup heroine tracking his every move. Moving to the front passing two out, Paddington had first run on the filly and despite her putting it up to him on the rise to the line it was the 3-year-old who prevailed by half a length with West Wind Blows making it a TDN Rising Star one-two-three six lengths away.
