MONTE SANCHA (FR) (Frankel {GB}) is a significant member of this valuable Prix de Lisieux, being a full-sister to the G1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp and G1 Prix d'Ispahan-winning sire Recoletos (Fr) (Whipper), the G2 Prix de la Nonette scorer Castellar (Fr) (American Post {GB}) and the listed winner and dual group-placed Ricla (GB) (Adlerflug {Ger}). SARL Darpat France's homebred, who was bought back by their trainer Carlos Laffon-Parias for €480,000 at the 2021 Arqana December Breeding Stock Sale, unsurprisingly encounters some intriguing peers including Prince Faisal's Teeran (Ire) (Kingman {GB}), an Andre Fabre-trained half-sister to last year's 2000 Guineas fourth Eydon (Ire) (Olden Times {GB}).

Among his rivals is Haras d'Etreham's Vercors (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}), a Fabrice Chappet-trained half-brother to this year's G1 Ranvet and G1 Queen Elizabeth S. hero Dubai Honour (Ire) (Pride Of Dubai {Aus}) who was a 220,000gns Book 1 graduate.
