Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 10, 2023 Journalists Share Posted July 10, 2023 What Canterbury Races Where Canterbury Park Racecourse – King St, Canterbury NSW 2193 When Wednesday, July 12, 2023 First Race 12:50pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Canterbury Park Racecourse is the destination for NSW racing on Wednesday afternoon. It’s a quickfire seven-race program for punters to sink their teeth into, and with outstanding conditions on the cards, we should be racing on a perfect Good 4 surface. The rail is out +3m the entire circuit, while the first race is set to get underway at 12:50pm AEST. Best Bet: King Of Naples King Of Naples has been a model of consistency in his 11 career starts, finding the top three in seven of those. The three-year-old gelding looked good when finishing in the minor money at Canterbury on June 21, coming home with a wet sail down the middle but just running out of time to catch Star Spirit. He gets an extra 50m on Wednesday, and with gun apprentice jockey Zac Lloyd set to take the reins for the first time, look for King Of Naples to sit in the top four turning for home before gaining the better of his opposition in the shadows of the post. Best Bet Race 5 – #4 King Of Naples (3) 3yo Gelding | T: John O’Shea | J: Zac Lloyd (a1.5kg) (58.5kg) Bet with PlayUp Next Best: Mr Kennedy Mr Kennedy got his much-deserved maiden win at Wyong on June 15 and now looks to make a big step up in grade to BM72 level. Although six years old, he is lightly raced and still has plenty of upside. His pattern should suit Canterbury as Zac Lloyd utilises his 1.5kg claim to head straight to the front, ensuring a bold sight for followers. This race lacks depth and although it’s taken a long time for Mr Kennedy to find his best, we’re confident he can be more than competitive at this level. Next Best Race 6 – #6 Mr Kennedy (3) 6yo Gelding | T: Richard Litt | J: Zac Lloyd (a1.5kg) (55kg) Bet with Ladbrokes Next Best Again: Dakota Vroom It was hard not to be impressed by the first-up win of Dakota Vroom at Warwick Farm on June 28, breaking her maiden in a BM64 against the three-year-old fillies. It showed the Chris Waller camp had stacks of confidence in this daughter of I Am Invincible, and she didn’t disappoint. This time she takes on the boys, but we don’t see that getting in the way of Dakota Vroom making it back-to-back wins provided she’s at her scintillating best. Next Best Again Race 4 – #6 Dakota Vroom (7) 3yo Filly | T: Chris Waller | J: Zac Lloyd (a1.5kg) (59.5kg) Bet with Bet365 Wednesday quaddie tips for Canterbury Park Canterbury quadrella selections Wednesday, July 12, 2023 1-2-6-8-12 1-4 1-6 1-4-5-7-8-9-10 Investment: $140 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
