Elysian Field (f, 3, Hard Spun–Elysian, by Smart Strike) was drifting, but coming home strongly with ears pricked, to turn the tables on her stablemate in the 68th edition of The Woodbine Oaks. Wickenheiser (Lemon Drop Kid) secured second while 50-1 shocker Fortyfiveseventy (P:erfect Timber) closed the trifecta. Elysian Field's effort capped a banner day for her connections as co-owner Gary Barber is also involved with the Plate Trial winner Paramount Prince (Society's Chairman). Mark Casse is the conditioner for that runner as well. The final time for The Woodbine Oaks was 1:49.83.
