Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 26, 2023 Journalists Share Posted July 26, 2023 What Moonee Valley Races Where Moonee Valley Racing Club – 2 Feehan Ave, Moonee Ponds VIC 3039 When Saturday, July 29, 2023 First Race 12:45pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes For the first time in four months, racing returns to Moonee Valley this Saturday afternoon. With perfect weather forecast in the lead-up, the track will stay in the Good 4 range, with the potential to be upgraded to a Good 3 at some stage. The rail comes out 5m the entire circuit, with the first of nine races set to jump at 12:45pm AEST. Best Bet at Moonee Valley: Archo Nacho The Matt Laurie-trained Archo Nacho was a touch unlucky when chasing home the classy Exploring at Flemington on July 15, beaten by a half-length. The Sioux Nation progeny was held up for a run until the final 200m, but once balanced up he hit the line strongly. From barrier five on the weekend, Ben Melham will have this bloke in the A1 position throughout, and with even luck he should be too good. Best Bet Race 1 – #3 Archo Nacho (5) 2yo Gelding | T: Matt Laurie | J: Blake Shinn (57.5kg) $3.30 with PlayUp Next Best at Moonee Valley: Torranzino Paul Preusker’s Torranzino was a smart Caulfield winner on July 8 despite doing a lot wrong. The three-year-old has plenty of natural improvement to come, but his last two wins suggest he is more than capable of saluting in this. He draws to gain a perfect run in transit from barrier four under Dean Yendall, and with two wins from as many starts at the 2000m, the Moonee Valley 2040m should not pose any issues. Next Best Race 4 – #2 Torranzino (4) 3yo Gelding | T: Paul Preusker | J: Dean Yendall (58kg) $4.60 with Boombet Best Value at Moonee Valley: Royal Mile A recent acquisition for David Brideoake and Matt Jenkins, Royal Mile’s first-up effort at Flemington suggests he is a winning chance in this BM100 field full of similar non-winners – and at juicy odds with top online bookmakers. His want to get back in the field upon settling offsets the wide barrier (12), but with the lightweight, aided by Luke Campbell’s 2kg claim, he will be smashing the line late over the 1600m. Best Value Race 7 – #11 Royal Mile (12) 5yo Gelding | T: David Brideoake & Matt Jenkins | J: Luke Campbell (a2) (53kg) $9 with Bet365 Saturday quaddie tips for Moonee Valley Moonee Valley quadrella selections Saturday, July 29, 2023 1-3-4-7-11-12 5-10-11-12-13-14 1-7-8-14 1-7-10-14 Investment: $576 for 100% Latest horse racing tips View the full article
