Last seen finishing third in the GI Acorn at Belmont Park in June, Occult (f, 3, Into Mischief–Magical Feeling, by Empire Maker) ran them off their feet on the final turn and made the GIII Monmouth Oaks victory look easy, striding home with open daylight between her and Foggy Night (Khozan), who picked up second. Riding Pretty (Jack Milton) rounded out the trifecta at a massive 27-1. The final time was 1:45.74.
