Elusive Princess (Fr) (Martinborough {Jpn}–Elusive Action {Fr}. by Elusive City) picked up Group 1 black type in her French campaign via a runner-up effort in the G1 Prix Saint-Alary two back, and came to Saratoga with winning in mind.

Through a wall of rain, the 6-5 favorite made her Stateside debut a fruitful one, dominating the GIII Saratoga Oaks Invitational S. by open lengths. American Sonja (GB) (Tasleet {GB})–also making a US debut having arrived from Ireland–ran on strongly for second while Papilio (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}) claimed third.
