I wonder if office staff are taking a pay cut, oh and havnt they have been working through this time.

It wasnt too long ago they were begging out for distance dogs now we are penalised for having them. You can't put all the middle distance dogs in a sprint, it's as bad as putting sprinters in middle distance. How the hell are we going to back to racing with only 1 distance. Most trainers are also working their dogs too so they don't need to trial 100 times. It's our job if we are crap at it we won't get money let us decide what our dogs can do.

Just heard on the radio ts from tomorrow no public at the horses or dogs. There goes jobs on tab, bars, food area etc

Luckily I have never seen 500 people at our tracks, so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem at least you can watch at home. I'm sure us trainers with be working with our dogs as normal as we always had to even if we are ill. Hopefully we won't get shut down like the rest of the world

Hey mate this isn't normal for us either that why we are not happy too .this is a case where the old trainer who to her is normal just to kill her dogs instead of rehoming them attitude needs to be changed. The stipes should if stepped in he normally would to be fair and stopped it. But she would of just gone to the vet on Thursday and done it because it is allowed. You can kill healthy dogs I've been told by nzgra. It reflects badly on all of us as usual . most of us have a range of really injured retired dogs at home. I

There are also kennels at the front that can be used if you ask also spare kennels after the races are kennelled. There's only a handful of people that put there dogs back in them. How do other tracks handle this????

Hey the truth is the truth,it would be stupid to lie as you'd get caught out but it doesn't stop some.my memory doesn't keep up the lies people tell. It's not the first court case Deb's has won either remember when she took money from gap ....our money for our retired dogs and it was a lot more than Wanganui. She's done it again with our club money .Palmy isn't far go there to trial if you don't like Wanganui. We are lucky we have 2 on our door step unlike other trainers.

Doesn't the lure driver get the instructions from the starter that speaks to the trainer??? The trainer needs to be clear, and not presume that everybody knows what they what, especially on such an unusual trial.i know plenty of trainers that would NEVER put a dog out of the 520 box to the 305 boxes but hey us trainers are all qualified vets and know best .

Facts........ Deb's trialled a dog on a vets stand down. Deb's didn't warn the started or lure driver of this. When asked what trial she wanted she said from here to there. She was at the 520 boxes at the time. She put the stand down dog in the boxes. Normally people at the 520 boxes have a box to box or a full 520,so the started signalled for a 520 as she said there. She meant a trial out of the 520 box to the 305 box which is a very unusual especially for a injuried dog. A complete mix up of communication between the starter and trainer. The dog ran the full 520 without any stopping of the trial by Deb's. Just before the line around 10 to 20 MTRS the dog broke down. She ran towards the dog and a catcher also ran towards the dog. These are the facts as observed on the day. the rest of the case or how things were handled are between the parties involved. Every one can make their own minds up. But it will all affect all of us from now on
