  1. 1 September 2021 for the rules. Penalties were updated last year though. Yes. Rules are rules, if breaches are enforced. I don't recall CWJ having any major issues with the rules prior to that in recent years. Did he, as you inferred? I can 't recall him ever taking his hands off the reins on one of mine though it's hard to tell with a left-hander without looking at the head on.
  2. The current rules are the strictest we've had here, if still largely ineffective.
  3. Did he breach the current whip rules?
  4. Instant red card in any other sport for that kind of abuse. Shame he does it here when he knows he can get away with it for a slap on the hand.
  5. Well I noticed. NZTR won't have. They have the same head in the sand approach that got the greyhounds where they are now. 6 or 7 flagrant breaches. We need relegation for that. If the 99.9% is correct, then most of those who would notice don't watch or participate any longer.
  6. That was definitely not a good look.
  7. Also, what did you make of the 1200m times TAB? Also the so called crowd? The stand looked half empty even after the main races although there was a reasonable smattering of people down on the grass and in front of the old tote building. I haven't been to that meeting for 5 years now but it certainly looked sparse on tv compared to then even.
  8. Yeah. Nice win for Danny and Tina. Some of us tried to give the cup a crack but plans went awry! Programming issues and lack of decent lead up staying races don't help either. There's always next year though.
  9. So, is the TabNZ tote pool commingled with the HKJC one?
  10. I'd agree with that.
  11. Are you there SA? The place looks deserted on TV.
  12. Of course. You can no longer have a Group 1 handicap.
  13. Does this somehow stop overseas operators offering fixed odds?
  14. That might create some opportunities for those that can sort them out?
  15. I can't find any markets in Oz either. Have I got the wrong day?
  16. Might not be yours, but could be mine.
  17. That's odd. I can't see it either.
  18. I think you should amend that response.
  19. They don't seem to me to too interested in fixing a number of problems. Some a lot more critical than that one.
  20. Are you becoming a yes man?
  21. Yes. I'm wondering if a bit more leeway on trial days? But those that don't load relatively quickly maybe need to go back to jump outs or practice gates?
  22. Were there any late scratched there for not loading within 90 seconds? Reportedly several at Ashburton. I can see the case for it but it seems a bit tough at trials when they are there to learn.
  23. They seem to be tightening up on this too. J Fawcett RESPOND Easing the pace 1000 metres [Rule 638(4)] N Parmar MANORBIER Easing the pace 1000 metres [Rule 638(4)]
  24. Especially when it was dangerous.
