  1. Yes. I know that. It's what I said. The chief seems to have nasal strips muddled up with blinkers. They are a bit different though his current TA horse doesn't wear either. My question though was where are the "studies that show @ 10% improvement on average"? Thanks.
  2. No. They reduce breathing effort and RBCs in the lungs after strenuous effort.
  3. Congratulations, but what tells you the blinkers had anything to do with it?
  4. In English in case your French is a bit average.
  5. So ban blinkers and whips you reckon?
  6. Certainly does.
  7. The racing policy says: When a race is divided in consolation format, the stake will be determined by NZTR and the relevant Club.
  8. Restricted sale races are a marketing tool for runner-up sales companies. I don't think the likes of Keeneland have to offer them to get the best horses there.
  9. Might have been a bit firm for some winter gallopers getting ready but certainly far from "hard".
  10. 1.14 1200s. I'd say a forgiving Good4.
  11. Nothing for trials I don't think. They are self funding.

  13. No. They bought their own gates (8), and volunteers assembled them, partly funded by a Racing Safety Development Fund Grant. I was on the committee when that application was written.
  14. It's a disgrace from that perspective aside from the level of detail supplied (or not supplied) about the various tracks. Neither provides me with much confidence.

  16. Oh and the typo is cut and pasted from the NZTR job ad. They don't have many that can proof read or use a spell checker there.
  17. Will be when they get a race date!
  18. The Central Districts Club Hub is a standalone not-for-profit that provides vital operational services to 11 thoroughbred racecourses in the lower North Island. The Hub owns shared raceday infrastructure and employs a number of staff who travel around the region on behalf of 16 well-stablished racing clubs.
  19. Targeted and won a couple of those back when 5k was well, 5k.
  20. Had a couple of goes but dropped my whip the first time and lost my balance leaving the gates the next. Got the sack.
