Yes, it was Timaru.

Yes, it was a lowly maiden.

Yes, it led all the way.

But it looked like a very good mover with a bit of scope.  3.18.0 for the 2600m, 56.9 and 28.2 on its ear at a track that is nowhere near as fast most others.

Nominated for Methven so will be keen to see if she goes on with it. I always like to see if horses which make an early impression go on with it. Most of the time they don't, unfortunately.

Placed 3rd to moon shadow at the trials, certainly has a little bit of ability and would be nice to see her go on with it, worth a bet if Sam ottley drives her again especially on the grass.
