muzenza365
I have just been told of J Parkes' sudden passing. He was in my opinion the best in the CD in the last 10 years RIP

Chief Stipe
A very good Jockey who struggled with weight from time to time. Performed very well during a very competitive time when there were many good Jockey's in the ranks. Condolences to those close to him.
jess
A tragic loss. We've missed Parksey since he hasn't been a regular fixture around the courses in the CD but of course we all hoped it was a temporary absence & he'd be back sooner rather than later, doing what he was very very good at - riding winners. Sad days for the CD & NZ thoroughbred racing community - and of course more importantly - for those close to Johnathan. Most sincere condolences to J Parkes' friends & family - such a very painful loss. Wishing peace for you all - hoping that memories of happy times with Johnathan comfort & sustain you. Special Agent
Hard news to take. Johnathan was in the 1000 club with so many memorable wins to his credit. One of the nice guys to boot. Happy on the outside. Rest in peace Parkesy.
