Correct. The fastest half. Best last 400 was 20.92. So, the course proper was even faster than the chute.

Yeah well the 2yr olds in the first ran their last 400m (ON THE COURSE PROPER) in 21.37.  The 400m to the 200m sectional was 10.07.  That's definitely NOT a S5 or a G4.

And it was 43.3 for the 800 so the course proper was again faster than the chute.

I guess this problem disappears when RACE sell the Trentham chute to put in the new tie up stalls, birdcage fencing and running rail mentioned in their brochure.

I don't know where that brochure is now so I can't comfirm Trentham and/or Awapuni but, it was flash new birdcage fencing, and one (I think) new running rail.
