Funny how no one ever mentions the huge amount of horses sent off to the knackers yard every year, maybe because they aren’t tracked and/or recorded so nobody really knows.

Think they turn a blind  eye on that one, not to mention the copious  amounts of 1080 they drop, which apparently doesn't kills birds, but no problems with possums, pets and even maybe a few cows, by means of a cruel agonizing slow death. All a bit hypocritical for me.

Agree with the general sentiment, but if by 'they' you mean SAFE, that's not quite right — they're explicitly opposed to both 1080 and racehorse 'redundancy'.
