Guess it all depends on the trackside crews…a lot of travel for them at this time of the year…especially the southern teams

I would have hought the stewards vision was streamed back to HQ in real time I.e. not reliant on someone delivering a tape! The more likely reason is there was no one in the office on that day.

Kurow…would definitely NOT have a high speed fibre link for a once a year track…satellite or Kordia link

You don't actual need a high speed fibre link although wasn't that a reason why some courses couldn't run races? The stewards vision is loaded up to YouTube which you could do with a 4G link from your laptop.

Feel free to email nztr or call the NRB and ask them what the hold up is, rather than moaning about it here

They ignore all outside correspondence, particularly those that point out their many shortcomings. 1

Does the Stewards video get sent to a different location? Or does it sit in the outside broadcast van until back to base? It has to be available oncourse for the Stewards to review. They use hawkeye and it would be server based within each broadcast unit

Special Agent
In the instant world and the fact we are now into 2025 it seems unreal that such delays exist.

In this day and age, it's hard to understand. With the supposed focus on providing better punter information, you'd think these would be up the next day, if not the same day and in much better quality. At the moment, with the south island circuit the way it is at this time of year, many of these horses start again before the stewards' vision of their previous run is available. It's very poor.
