Chief Stipe Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I realise my eyesight is failing but I can't seem to find any fields let alone odds for this weekends Hong Kong JC meeting. I guess it will be up before I post this topic. Quote

curious Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I can't find any markets in Oz either. Have I got the wrong day? Quote

Chief Stipe Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 Still nothing. Has there been an upgrade to app? I notice an INTL option box which i hadn't seen before. Tick it and you get a plethora of race meetings from some obscure places. Many are abandoned probably because no one bets on them. Quote
SLB2.0 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 The TAB doesn't have fields up because the Australian bookies don't have theirs up. The TAB does nothing before others do it. I'm sure the likes of Sportsbet will get the fields up today, and our useless lot will just copy and paste. 2 Quote
Chief Stipe Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 But what stops them from putting the fields up with just a SP option? Quote

No fixed odds on HK racing hence you won’t find any of that…they put the fields up on a Saturday normally once the HK scratchings are confirmed the day before racing with how the ballots are over there. They’ll be up later today Quote

That said is it related to the World Pool constraints? Quote

Thursday fields are declared…Saturday morning hong kong time the scratchings (day before races) betting opens hk time midday. because if you pay close attention, they have two ballots per race and say if #1 is scratched, the first ballot then becomes numeber 1, with the same barrier draw as the scratched runner Quote

I would have thought though the two Grp 1's that don't have ballots and which are in the World Pool would have had odds up. 1 Quote

Tote, no fixed odds. I have an account in hk from a previous life, so know how it goes from betting there for many years. group 1 or no group 1, its always the same Edited January 17 by Bill 4 Quote
curious Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Does this somehow stop overseas operators offering fixed odds? 1 Quote

Bill Posted January 18 Posted January 18 48 minutes ago, Chief Stipe said: Only if you didn't give them a cut? Well its commingling into the HK pools. hk dont do fixed odds - its tote only. Except for the jockeys challenge and trainers challenge. case and point there is a scratching in race 5 so a runner has now been promoted into that horsea saddle cloth/barrier and betting is now open in hk Quote
SLB2.0 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Sure, but Australian bookmakers offer fixed odds for all Hong Kong races. Quote

Chief Stipe Posted January 18 Author Posted January 18 I see the fields are up on TABNZ but no Tote yet. Quote
