If it wasn't for the Brendon's and Jo's of this thoroughbred world we'd be up sheet creek Jo, who sent Brendon off with a cut lunch everyday when working out of their garage and before selling Sistema for $660M, has gone on to grow the Lindsey Foundation with an emphasis on animal welfare...Riding for the Disabled, Guide Dogs et el as well...how good? Then the salt of the earth Temuka lad, Mr. Ritchie of Ritchie's Buses, decides to retire and is at a loss with what to do with his many millions "Why not buy a race horse" he said to his wife That was only 4 years ago...20 horses with Chris Waller and 6 or so with Andy Carsons later, he buys the big O's sister for 2.4M Our industry is littered with the wealthy who made good and wanted some fun On the reverse side, thank goodness the likes of Eric Watson got out before the industry was tarred by his presence.
