Special Agent
The situation in CD is absolutely dire. So many wages paid out and so many doing nothing constructive. Too many heirs and graces maybe. All the basics forgotten and ignored. Trentham is the saddest thing.

So what are the stakeholders doing to turn it around? As for Trentham - well the members are sitting behind the glass saying it is still the Champagne Turf. Chief Stipe
I see the near record time for the Lightening has been adjusted to 1:07.70. Obviously has been handtimed off the video again. However the time still isn't a Soft 6 time and the last 600m was run in 31.5 on the straight which would be softer than the shute!!!

Its going to be a horrible look again this weekend. Sires Stakes day used to be such a big day. I was there the year Vin d'amour defeated Kingdom Bay in the Sires, I think the last time it was raced under handicap conditions. If I was in Wgtn this weekend I think I would be too depressed to even bother going along.

The stakeholders have been so screwed by administrators, politicians and a new wagering entity with this illusion of grandeur I don't know what can be done now to turn it around. Some of the "stars in their eyes" antics have to be seen to be believed. The basics have gone out the window and the money thrown at various projects have been a waste. Not having good racing sufaces and safe horse facilities at race meetings have been totally overlooked in favour of boosted stakes on selected races. 2

That is the key constraint that all resources and all stakeholders must be focussed on. Nothing else.
