If there were a set of grass trials scheduled this week with that programme down here instead of the cancelled poly ones, we wouldn't be forced to go to the races on Saturday to give one a trial. The whole programming races/trial thing is completely screwed.

It looks like supply and demand.  Jumpouts are a rule unto themselves in the north.  Why can't Rangiora run jumpouts with the distances trainers want?  How is Rangiora any different from Waipukurau?  Both tracks closed for safety reasons but, one back racing.

Rangiora is now running jumpouts but at this stage only has fixed starting gates at the 1200. They are looking for mobile gates though.

Racing lost an enthusiastic racing benefactor with the passing of Kevin Pratt.  The starting gates were one of many ventures sporting the Kamada Park logo.  I'm sure there will be a North Canterbury equivalent who will save the day.

Yes. That's how we got the Foxton ones for trials and assembled ourselves.
