Well, regardless whether or not it was a good idea to add it, it surely needed 12-18 months for it to infiltrate and be bound by the root structure before it was raced on again. You get what you pay for I guess. Jockeys need windshields and wipers, but the poor horses are stuck with what they get chucked at them. Which is exactly what I've been saying. If you listen to the Jockeys after a race in those conditions you hear that the horses look after themselves and hold back. No because it is a track that horses get their hooves into it. Most of our tracks are like that. It is in the early spring and early autumn where issues with slipping occur.
