Why would that be @Freda ?  The Hunter I spoke to a couple of weeks ago seemed very happy with life.

You were talking to him as an owner/customer.  Freda possibly talks to him daily as a peer.

Well you obviously have a different definition of "peer" than most.

I talked to him with no preconceived notions on amything.

I certainly didnt condescendingly post about his state of mind online.

Thanks for the Te Akau link. Must be useless at finding things cos can’t find Wexford on YouTube. If you could put that up, that be grand. Not old enough for facebook yet.

He’ll get better the more he does it. He’ll have a useful skill when Entain complete killing off racing in NZ and he can move into another industry with those skills if he doesn’t want to go overseas.

You know what, many of the tasks in racing are covered by those with different titles.  Peer can mean different things but generally refers to being considered an equal.  I'm guessing here but, reckon Freda probably looks Hunter in the eye with a "good morning" rather than leering down her nose at him.

Then why refer to him condescendingly as "Poor Hunter"?

I agree he is a top bloke and has great skills and experience in the industry.  Well chosen Te Akau.

I do think Hunters work has turned a few TA horses form around with the help of some Woodend beach work as well.  He is one of the many reasons TA's Sth Island Premiership win should be applauded.
