The best 3yo in NZ has been called home by the Lords and Masters at Church Of Hong Kong........the decimation of NZ racing continues unabated. It's sickening and sad...both. That's what happens when your lives are dictated to by foreigners.......what do you really think Herbie Dyke would think?  More Wonder failed the vet or he would be gone by now too.......Italy lost their only Gr1, ....NZ is on track to be the next Italy. #failedstate.

Look i can't talk , free holded my property off Asian sales and will never send another up their , miserable life for them , but it's got to a stage where i don't believe we will recover unless Asia and Aussie flat out stop buying . Even then there has to be a will to race them allowing for our stakes . Our G1s are at best somewhere between Aust G3 to G2 . On a level with Tasmania in 10+ years . Seriously scary .

I think an export levy must be initiated Nomates, seller or buyer....but there must be a tax and a good one so revenue returns to the industry.......that way at least some semblance of good proprietary is invoked ....but there needs to be a will to fix it, and at the Moment there is no will.

My neighbour got rich selling to Asia and the filthy life they got didn't concern him in the least, couldn't give a shit, just counted his money.....shitty life at the moment for him now, karma does exist you know, it just waits around the corner.

Honestly believe it's all to late , certainly when you look at current leadership , going forward there is no evidence to give any confidence that they have any idea how to even stabilize things . If we could even get into a holding pattern for a period to give us something to start building from then maybe , a very big just maybe . Can't see where the solve is coming from tho .

I don't think there is any difference between Group racing in Tasmania and one here already. The 10+ years isn't required. We should have been seeking to be a nursery for good horses, not a jurisdiction of running top end races. That's my view. It's trying to present the façade that our racing is at a higher level than it is, and boosting stakemoney to support the facade, that has contributed to where we are now.

To a degree. When moving horses was a lot more difficult, we generally retained our best.

Couple that with very poor policy around managing our revenue streams and pushing off-shore racing down everyone's throat has changed that very quickly.

Along with just ignoring things like tracks as if they can just carry on forever the way they were, whilst at the same time showing everyone what tracks should be like, which has just accelerated the demise.

It shouldn't be anywhere near that. I wonder if someone was paid, and if so, by whom?

They wouldn't answer the question and we haven't got anyone with any sway that would want to chance " rocking their boat " . Everybody just padding their pockets before the the lights are switched off .

I couldn't give a fark what happens in Asia, they have legitimately bought the animal.

Do you care as much for a poor bloody chicken? have you seen what happens to them at an Inghams plant?

And that sums it up.....you don't give a fark, thankfully some of us do and wont sell our good ones to Asia and won't make the bloodstock agents richer. We'd rather race them, enjoy them, cheer when they win, and sometimes weep when we lose them, and I mean lose them.....they mean something to us other than an asset or liability.......when you pick up their shit when they are foals, watch them grow, watch their personalities evolve, and in some instances their ability, nurture them, break them in, educate them and finally take them to the races, and, if you're in Oz, skin the bookies, there, well hope it's not an industry day and that's as far as they can go......unless of course it's in your mantra to sell them to Asia, and that BarryB is another story....a sad one......end of, I'm walking on this.......never call me a racist again, I was raised in Porirua, Titahi Bay.......did my time in Maori towns in the 60/70's.....have Maori cousins, and you I'm afraid showed your true colours toward Maori on one of your racist posts....as for chicken,...... the shit posting wife of 45 years and I don't eat Ingham's chicken, we eat free range and eat free range eggs.......you ok with that?
