I admire it. That does not change my assessment of a horse's performance against their expected performance regardless of track condition. If the time is anything to go by, the horse ran the 3rd fastest time this century on the track over the distance for the stated condition. Not bad for a horse that didn't handle it. Imagine what she would have done on a track she handled. 3 minutes ago, Reefton said: The man says she didn't handle it. He has ridden thousands of winners. He was sitting on her back yet you lot from miles away know better than he does. Foik no wonder I don't back any winners. I am relying on the advice of all the wrong people. I for one don't listen much to others opinion. I tend to form my own. You're entitled to yours. I'm entitled to mine.

Well you got that one right. Well done. I read the posts on here pre race. And I ignored the opinions. And I backed her at odds of $64+. I got it wrong. If only I knew she wasn't going to handle it, I could have saved my money.

If he says she didn't handle it I think I would believe him. the crucial point is that she handled it better than all but two of the others! Top run from a brave mare. Congrats.

Personally, I don't care if it's CWJ, Lester Piggott or Bill Shoemaker. I'll take the hard facts over their comments every time.

That's what Thommo does. I didn't rely on hearsay advice. I reported hearsay advice. Apparently the bloke has no idea what he is talking about. We may as well have put Gee Sujegnor(or what ever his or her name is) on the horse. What I relied on was my own knowledge of how the horse handles wet ground As for it being the third fastest time this century on that course how sure are we the gates were in the right place?

If the former entirely possible - if the latter I am very very dubious

The 5th fastest if you went to a 6. And about the 11th fastest if you went to a rating of a 5. Not bad for a track rated 8 for a horse that didn't handle it.
