Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 5, 2019 Journalists Share Posted September 5, 2019 The Racing Officials Accreditation Program (ROAP) and Parx Racing will hold a ROAP Certificate Course at Parx racetrack Nov. 15-16, 2019. The ROAP Certificate Course consists of general racing industry education and job-specific modules for each racing official position. Each participant will focus on clerk of scales, horse identifier, paddock judge, placing judge, outrider, and starter/assistant starter. The course is open to the public and is geared toward those who want to become a racing official or who are interested in learning more about racing officials in general. Current officials are also encouraged to attend. Registration is required by Nov. 8. The cost for the two-day course is $75 and includes lunch for one day. Visit the ROAP course page to register.
