Thomass
So in fighting back against the animal nutters Merry told us the Thoroughbred Industry "has nothing to hide" So what does she do? Hides a breakdown in the 3 Yo at HQ this week... While all of those with playback options...Sky, Vodafone TV et el...just keep on playing them back... The same goes for falls in Jumps racing... Maryanne Tweetsman...the PC Trackside producer...consults with NZTR to delete any judged 'serious' falls or deaths... While Sky subscribers simply play back the 'censored' tapes FFS...just let it go Maryanne and Merry...this Industry should stand by its racing record...warts and all...
Bid
Na, I don't want to see a horse breaking down. Like any horseman we go all numb and have a yuk feel go through our whole body when we see it.
Thomass
Of course not but it's part and parcel of the Industry... Punters don't go to the website to watch horses breakdown obviously.... But Mary is part of the 'Jolly Jolly no negative' narrative of modern day social racing media... ...they're all at it...back slapping ass spanking encouragement and not an ounce of critical analysis allowed... Mary... "Far easier to stand on the side-lines, flinging accusations based on historic experiences than perhaps speak with some of the 34,768 * participants in the thoroughbred industry and gauge the reality. Among that number are the vets, farriers, chiropractors, masseurs, feed merchants, stable staff and others whose every working moment is geared towards ensuring the horses in their care are happy and healthy. Our horses are bred to do what they do, just watch any group of foals in a paddock. They are also able to "tell" us when they don't want to race – witness the brilliant Australian sprinter Chautauqua who retired on his own terms. Rather than blindly swallowing the information provided by an Australian-based protest group, we would welcome those with a genuine interest in thoroughbreds and their welfare to come along to a New Zealand race meeting and witness first-hand how our horses are treated. We have nothing to hide." She forgets to mention the NZ Amatuer rider who said "it's a cheater and needed a good whipping" Or the endless trials Chautauqua went through before the owners reluctantly gave up... Merry hides a lot of things..it's her job... I pointed out to her how Jockey Parkes had whipped his mount 35 times...within the rules...she was oblivious to what was happening... And that's why she chooses to go down the path of accusing some websites of being ignorant.. ...when she's exactly that herself... ...back patting ass slapping Racing Industry employee
