Fasig-Tipton-Winner-Logo.jpg   Devil Made Me Do It (c, 2, Daredevil–Bible, by U S Ranger) romped home the easiest of debut winners and was tabbed a ‘TDN Rising Star’ in the opening race at Santa Anita Saturday. The dark bay colt, the 3-2 favorite, was away alertly and quickly assumed command, setting fractions of :22.42 and :45.22 while under a snug hold. He extended his advantage nearing the stretch and sailed clear down the lane under a motionless Mario Gutierrez to score by 10 lengths and became the 12th winner for his freshman sire (by More Than Ready). He completed the six furlongs in 1:10.29. Garth (Into Mischief) was second and Moon Mischief (Into Mischief) was third.

Devil Made Me Do It, a $43,000 KEENOV weanling, sold for $72,000 as a FTKJUL yearling and was bought back for $245,000 after working a quarter in :20 3/5 at this year’s OBS June sale. His third dam, Multiply, produced Grade I winner Corinthian.

Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0. O-Reddam Racing LLC and Dunne. B-B P Walden, Jr (Ky). T-Doug O’Neill.
