mumbles
June could be a critical month for the further spreading of this disease.Sharemilkers and their herd travelling to new farms. This could turn out to be a circus.
Ashoka
Why has Nathan Guy not been charged with malfeasance in regard to the handling of this matter? How many acts of malfeasance have to occur before this shameless, incompetent serial fraudster is held to account for his actions? God help us (please). mumbles
On another website Keith Woodford,a former Proffessor at Lincoln is calling for the Govt to step back and let the farmers take care of it. NOnonono,if you want taxpayers money for compensation then the Govt have to be incharge with input from others.

Ashoka Its okay to blame Guy but the reality is that O'Connor is the man now.He should have put an immediate ban on the transportation of livestock between farms imo.I know that would be hard to implement and very unpopular but thats why they are in Govt. Ashoka
mumbles, Why did Nathan Guy not do this when the disease was first discovered? Why did Nathan Guy not do anything about the criminal blackmarket within the farming industry that saw the rules and regulations regarding the transport and transference of animals ignored en masse? Why are you blaming a government that has been in power for about five minutes, in real terms? Blame needs to be assigned to where it truly lies, so that the right steps can be taken to both mitigate the current situation and to do our best to ensure that we don't have a repeat. Making sure that Nathan Guy and anybody associated with this ignorant buffoon have nothing to do with anything of material substance to our nation is a prerequisite to both remedying our current problems and planning for the future. mumbles
Not blaming the new Govt, however they are the current Govt and they need to pick up the ball and run with it. As to why Guy did nothing, only he would know and it would be interesting to know why he was so inactive.
Ashoka
mumbles, I am guessing that the current government is trying to ascertain why Guy did nothing before deciding on a course of action. As you say it is O'Connor who is in charge, then this may take some time as the adage "it takes one to know one" doesn't apply when talking about the mentally challenged. All the best. Wolfman
Mycoplasma Bovis is the biggest fraud of all time. It’s a simple anaerobic bacteria, not a virus as the media describe it. It doesn’t pose a risk to humans, both meat and milk from infected cows are 100% safe. Every country in the world except one has M Bovis in their cattle herds, and their cattle are happy and healthy. NZ imports meat from those countries with endemic M Bovis cattle and no one is at risk or has ever suffered as a result. The media are ignorant hysterical alarmists, and the public is extraordinarily gullible. One year it’s swine flu, then Asian bird flu....now it’s M Bovis.....what is it about us that requires a scary epidemic every year ?

Had a mate that thought he had swine flu, he rung the 0800 hotline, but all he got was crackling.
