Amateur races.

If anyone from overseas watched these races being run as tote races they would think it's some kind of sick joke.

There are a handful of riders at best who are capable of competitive riding, but watching some of them is like watching a car crash.

Riders racing 3, 4 and 5 wide all the way, no one being able to use the whip or ride their horses out in a finish.

Im not saying that they are not capable horse people, but they are NOT jockeys, and it's a terrible look to see them going around, hence why they are a complete non-event as a betting prospect as they are like a lottery.

If they want an amateurs series then fine, run them as non totes before or after the races but to continue to have this showcased on our screens is a nonsense.

Plenty of amateur national hunt races in the u.k with bookmaker betting, obviously a market for it or they would be non tote....the label is there to see for all those foolish enough to bet on those races!!!

Quite agree. You're even allowed to bet on things like Blues' super rugby games, so why not amateur riders' races?
