They have changed their old webpage it appears, I know a few got the boot, and rightly, and some maybe took redundancy [good] however as they are about to go to war with Purcells victim of battles lost, it would be nice to learn who is actually running that show now, and show it is, or was.

Has there been a remarkable turnaround there? Have they recruited or just sacked.......the old site portrayed a cast of thousands, is there anywhere at all showing who is who there?

While I'm at it, TCO2 testing, pre race....we know they are spruiking prizemoney, but not disclosing where it's coming from, but what about testing? even post race, the rumours are flying over here in Oz that there were no swabs being processed for months due to lack of funds? Any truth to that? someone/anyone must know?

Hell, 135 views and no reply, what does that tell you? How can anyone have confidence in NZ racing?  What first world racing jurisdiction is so broke they can't afford to pre-race......how the hell should there be any Gr racing in NZ? The Racing Paten Committee need to act. where's the credibility?

I'll try and find out...how, I don't know, because there won't be an honest answer if it is not a good look.

As far as pre-race goes,  they only test Grp and listed race runners as far as I know, and I can't think of one here this year in the pre-lockdown period.  None after, obviously.

Hard for the officials at Riccarton, though,  as there is no allocation of stalls.  They wander around aimlessly asking ' have you seen xxx '

Definitely swabbing post -race, though I can't answer as to what happens to those swabs.   I would like to think all is above board.

I remember, a few years ago, having the constabulary at the stables one race morning to test a runner in a listed sprint.

We wandered out to the yards, caught the subject, took bloods, and off they went.   I could have done anything to him once they'd left the premises!

I told the vet at the races later that we brought out the drugs once they'd gone...but he knew me well and just rolled his eyes.
