" No wonder the masses have buggered off to sports betting " Funnily enough Dee Wharf...YES!! Its like investing in the Stock Market....you wouldn't roll up with the readys without diligently looking at all possibilities Ive asked Sweenz to give us more info and he came through yesterday! Sweenz "I've spoken to the track manager and he says the rail is H11, further out H 10, then S8 further out again" Sure enough most winners came from that area... f me...who knew pen readings tell the true story? As for sports betting..Im rooting for Mingee Lee for the Open...always have
curious
Keep rooting but I think you've got the wrong Lee. Do you have the updated penos for Royal Lytham?

I take into account the forecast after the afternoon pen. Reading.... Essentially all selections are locked in no matter what the reading.... On selections as obvious as those Wednesday superior performances...it doesn't matter much Besides the rail go fast is fairly predictable on that course... Knowing the pen. Readings...that incidently you said should be made available... ...only helps Punters confidence And that's what Sweeney delivered to Punters yesterday Just give up...you know very little about this stuff

Thomass
I said the reading they give "doesn't matter much" As they don't give the exact reading... ..it could be H 11 or 20... when they give the actual correct readings....which Jockeys know when they walk the track...and we dont Then Punters will pay more attention...until then you might as well back Mingee... von Smallhaussen
Thomass - why don't you concentrate on the twots - then the penetrometer readings don't matter ?

Thomass
What another shit heap they delivered Punters at Wanganui today... Ass predicted that new rail on the outside does sfa...it's still a 2 width fast lane and it's just a mine field of checking and unluckys all over the show... ..what's more the suits at NZTR couldn't give a toss.. ...they still give Punters the track reading to the 4.5M mark ...when they're racing on the outside rail...wtf knows what it is out there...only f knows.. The same goes for Waverley yesterday... ...another shit heap where they all headed to the outside... ...and these blokes are meant to be Farmers ffs... ...sort ya shit heaps out Farmers... ...or give up your amatuer status and race on a decent DRAINED track somewhere... ...Punters have deserted NZ racing and no f in wonder
Thomass
And as predicted here that rail made sfa difference to safe racing... Revolution proved that when nearly putting Allpress over the rail... ...of course with the new rules you can get away with shit illegal riding like that... Allpress stupidly pulled up without trying to make at least some ground up once clear and after Being squeezed like a pip out of her rightful position Just water the outside of the Track boys...like Riccarton did... ...needs must... Its ugly right now and even uglier when somebody gets put over the outside rail due to your f in incompetence

Thomass
So the 'experts' told us the Naki rail should be the place to be.. After Lisa Allpress walks the track...Sweenz gets out of her...reluctantly "the rails off....I'll be coming off it...ok? ffs.... Just give PUNTERS the f in Pen readings...then it'll be like Punters walking the track...and not just the Lisa's Anyone would think Punters like eating dirt...or mushrooms

Thomass
Yep that'll work..use the best surface in the CD as a trials bizzo... ...wtf has happened to the 'Trust' that runs the show...and NZTR's chat with said outfit... ...and do they really have to have a massive erection to have Racing there.... or would a few outhouses do to run a days racing?
curious
The trust doesn't run the show. The club committee do and are doing a mighty fine job the last couple of years. I'm guessing by the end of the year, not even additional outhouses will be required if it becomes an option for raceday transfers. In the meantime, it's doing a great service as a training and trials venue.
Thomass
Wasn't there some problem with the local council or trust getting involved and not allowing any development? Sorted?

Sorted? It was the Manawatu Racing Act Trust Board that theoretically controlled the insurance proceeds. Long since sorted. Hence recent and current progress.
