It is all on the turnover.

This is what the rest of the season looks like, I guess they were added dates as they started with nothing but shit you'd hope turnover won't be the deciding factor as in my opinion these dates are worse for turnover then previously when the club got the flick.... also a lot of Invercargill or other Southland meetings within days of the Forbury dates which was the problem in the last few year again.

I'll pick on July, all 4 sundays are NZ Met again surely 1 or 2 of those are better off with Forbury and give NZ Met the Thursday nights..... July nights in Dunedin surely these suits can't be that stupid 🤔

Dec 16 Wednesday Night

Jan 27 Wednesday Day WTF?

March 22 Monday Day WTF?

April 14 Wednesday Night

May 22 Thursday Night

June 10 & 24 Thursday Nights

July 1 & 8 Thursday Nights

If the suits want to finish Forbury they will. The reprieve FTC got was due to a terrible process back in the lockdown days so they flipped back into giving them these dates, if they don't front up on the turnover Forbury will be in the crosshairs again.

I've said many times, they are a victim of circumstances but it would be interesting to see how today has gone

There still needs to be shuffle around in the dates to get the best outcome,I think the south has probably got enough meetings or close too,one positive we saw over winter is the fact you can race in Southland in winter,I guess it comes down to figures what days are best but Forbury on cold winter nights is a bit of a croc

NZ Metro TC - Sunday, 6th September 2020
Race 10 - IRT.#1 AIRFREIGHT COMPANY FOR STANDARDBREDS MOBILE PACE

Driver D O'Connell defended a charge issued under Rule 868(2) alleging that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure PETE'S DASH was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible placing by failing to attempt to obtain cover and allow his runner respite when the opportunities to do so were presented but instead elect to hold the parked position. After viewing the replays and hearing the evidence, the JCA upheld the charge and Mr O'Connell's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 30 October 2020 up to and including 30 April 2021 (6 months).

Low blow, 7 weeks after the incident and Dennis has driven since then the suits wait until the menace scores a great win to whack him with a 6 month suspension.

Just reading an ODT story on yesterday, over a thousand  people turned up,now I'm not sure if that's a lot but it appears by Forbury standards it seems to be ,some of the days they get probably only attract a handful but its all about the turnover, but it does help if the public know the races are on,a Sunday on a holiday weekend gets some interested, don't believe a cold Thursday in July would inspire many, how many turn up at addington on those cold winter nights?
