Hahaha Karrot Rage is good. lol maybe you pick well now !!  Just giving Milo and Roman a chance to knock the current champion Karrots off !!!!!  if they turn up late.

No body else seems interested but just a fun thing for a laugh while watching the racing.

HEZACROCWATCHER not in , which was my only bet last week , so will have to find another ???

Hezacrocwatcher sold. Was last race last week.

Oh I figured it out, if no-one enters, which is looking likely you take my crown by default (laughing). Oh Gamms the sneaky sneaky.Sneaking Out Daffy Duck GIF by Looney Tunes

Haha hehe no I'm the Tassie devil, not the Daffy Duck, you'll have to defend your tipping crown Karrots , or be forever remembered as 'What might of been" . Maybe no-one cares who wins at Cambridge ?? lol.... whatever, can't see why people can't be keen for the sport still , like your good self. It's the only hope it's got.

Hahaha, all good Gamms, just joking with you. Shanlou, I was nearly going to tip her out to Becs on thread Fill the Void, for a place as fixed paid $4.80 but decided not to, as wasn't sure they would go forward or not (as they had not both starts same draw). If forward then yes chance, if not then less chance. And they went forward arrgh go figure!

Thats the trick isn't it. Not knowing what plans and tactics will be. Got 2nd. A Sweet Lou. Been racing against the boys at Alex. Drop back to Camb.

I didn't even take it either, I was going to, but got cold feet not knowing what their strategy would be arrgh. Grizzle grizzle.

Me again, was snooping around in between races & to get back to subject found this.

T Casey has teamed up with Lincoln Farms, taking shares in Sugar Apple + others of Lincoln Farms. Some info about Sugar Apple & Argyle etc.

Yes that is the key question. Have to wait and see.

The early 2 y-os, I will be keeping my eyes on are:

Sugar Apple, 1/2 bro to American Dealer & full to Sweet Maddison. Won recent trial - Green

Argyle - By Bettors Delight - Won a trial and workout - Green

Mitsi Gaynor - Sweet Lou full sister Im a Gigolo. Won a trial recently - Dalgety

Correction - Mitsi Gaynor has same owner as, Im a Gigolo (L Karr) think he’s got shares in Sweet Lou, but she’s not full bro to Im a Gigolo. That’s the connection.

Result:

Mitsi Gaynor - 2nd

Argyle - 2nd

Sugar Apple - Reset - Putting line thru that race.

*********

Question - How much will the top lot go for at this yearling sale?

Last year was $280k, will it be higher or lower? Im going to have a fun guess & say: $300k

Any other fun guesses?

Phone bid??

I’m not sure what you mean, think you mean top bidder will be a phone bid …

From 1st 2y-o race Fri Alex, here were the top 3 placed getters, sales prices all from last years yearling sale.

Wonder if any impact at all or not re Covid to sales prices average/medium or top sale price. Who knows wait & see I suppose.

1st Casino Action $80k

2nd Argyle $210k

3rd Major Perry $160k

Got it Eljay. Think they doing online sales too.

I was thinking, not aimed at you at all, but just thinking off subject.

I'm kind of surprised by all the drama. Like a lot of drama. Not meaning horsey cheat drama, meaning personal drama.

I didn’t know there was so much drama in industry. I thought like rural, sweet, innocent, nice, kind of thing. Its more drama than living in LA. It's taken me quite by surprise. (Im not being mean or anything - wasn’t expecting).

Yes a Bettor's Delight filly, $300,000. more money than sense really , could of bought 4 horses at the sale average of $50,000 and had 4 x the chance of a winner and $100,000 still in the kick !!!  lol...

I would of ONLY looked at the Lot 39  brown colt Rocknroll Dance out of TWIST and TWIRL

so 1/2 brother to G1 sensation 'King of Swing' and double G1 winner 'Bettor Twist'..wow look no further !!!

He sold for $90,000  , so that is a bargain if ever I saw one .

Sorry late to the BOAY party, as been out back trying on, who can pick the top lot price crown. I was given permission to keep it warm due to CHC postponement. Gotta keep my eye on Eljay, he might nip up the passing lane in CHC & snatch it off me.

Hehe, went & dusted off my (Camb) selections crown too, as still have it. Maybe we need to do another selections soon, I'm starting to get weighed down by the weight hehe. Bit like your 2y-o allocated horse with Dunedin in cart too.

Hope they get the young guns heats off the ground on Fri … saw some more new ones been nomed, so can allocate out to people if the racing happens Alex …

Just looking at Addington Friday with 2 x 2 yearold races. colts and fillies divisions have 7 starters in each.

There are 2 SWEET LOU's in each race so that looks promising? 4 runners out of 14 starters is good representation.

Ok. I have not seen yet. And the class of 2018 isn’t his big numbers year.

People will most likely start to notice it when the 2019 class hit the track & also the following year too.

For me, I don’t think he is the absolute top sire number 1 (but he is pretty good 🙂). I think he is the best pacing sire value for money currently in NZ.

Great strike rate, so good chance of getting your purchase price back, lower sire fee eg $7k or $7.5k whatever it is so vendors have more chance to recover that price at sales, and if you breed good mares to him then you get top tier, eg Sweet on Me, Spirit of St Lou, Aladdin, Darling Me, etc

Whether his NZ sires fee stays the same who knows, but I read an article that he is known as the Peoples horse in USA as the owners want him to be priced so that he is affordable to the people & with that have a good chance to get a nice horse 😁

Who else just watched the 2 y-o fillies Alex? Wow def no stable driving there 👍

Thought the parked horse Mitsi Gaynor, would of taken a trail asap or pulled out of it as soon as realised lead wasn’t there - stablemate was not handing.

Another nice example of Fair Play going on 👍

Not the desired result for stable, but still setting a good example Dalgety Team & McKendry 👍
